About Me

Bodywork is my passion. I thoroughly enjoy being able to help people feel healthy and more vitalized. Because each person is unique, I like how my work changes and shifts to meet the needs of my diverse clientele.

I am originally from Wisconsin, where I began giving massages to friends and family. While I received very positive feedback, I never took it seriously until I realized my day job was not fulfilling. After working at a financial institution for a year, I realized I was not helping others the way I wanted, and bodywork presented just that: a way to connect with and help people while doing something that I loved.

I decided to move to California where I studied massage and bodywork at the Esalen Institute for two years. I began practicing massage professionally once I became certified in Esalen Massage. Esalen helped me to grow my massage practice into the holistic and integrative practice it is today.

While at Esalen I realized that I had an additional passion: conflict resolution and peacebuilding. I continued my education at Esalen and added these practices and skills to my tool belt. At the end of 2010, I moved to the Bay Area to complete my Master's Degree, practice massage, and expand my horizons. I now serve as the Mediation Program Manager at Community Boards, a neighborhood mediation center in San Francisco, where I help assist with mediation, facilitation, and conflict resolution when I am not promoting health, relaxation, and wellness through my bodywork practice.
